Dump Trailer Rental Agreement

Renter must be at least 21 years old, hold a valid driver license, and have authority to operate the tow vehicle. The name on the agreement, license, and payment method must match. Trailer for Rents LLC may inspect the original government-issued photo ID and tow vehicle at pickup and may decline the rental if identity, capacity, or safety cannot be confirmed.

The rental starts and ends at the times written above. A 4-hour rental is $90 and must be returned within four hours on the same calendar day. A 24-hour rental is $150 for each started 24-hour period; for example, a five-day rental is five daily periods. The estimate adds Seattle sales tax at 10.55%. The final tax may be corrected if the pickup location, payment date, or applicable law requires a different rate. Any return more than 30 minutes late may be charged one additional 24-hour rate for each started 24-hour period, without extending the renter’s right to keep the trailer. The renter must contact the company before the scheduled return if delay is unavoidable.

There is no automatic “return fee.” In addition to rent and sales tax, Renter authorizes Trailer for Rents LLC to charge only amounts properly due under this agreement, supported by inspection records, photographs, receipts, or repair estimates when applicable.

Renter accepts the trailer in the condition shown on the pickup inspection. Before departure, Renter must report any existing damage and confirm the coupler, jack, chains, breakaway cable, lights, brakes, tires, wheels, gates, tarp, battery, hydraulic system, and dump controls are serviceable. Silence after pickup is acceptance of the recorded condition except for hidden defects.

Renter must know the weight of the load and comply with every posted trailer, axle, tire, hitch, tow-vehicle, and legal weight limit. Volume does not determine safe payload. Evidence of overloading may include scale tickets, bent or stressed components, tire or suspension damage, hydraulic strain, excessive material volume or density, or other documented physical signs. Renter is responsible for the overload fee and all resulting damage, recovery, cleanup, citations, and loss of use to the extent allowed by law.

A functioning in-cab brake controller and 7-way electrical connection are required. Renter must perform a low-speed brake test before travel and after material is loaded or unloaded. Brake gain must be adjusted to avoid wheel lock when empty and provide controlled braking when loaded. Renter may not disable the brakes or breakaway system. Damage from skidding, dragging, underinflation, curb impact, road hazard, or continued operation after a warning is the renter’s responsibility.

Only the named renter and company-approved drivers may tow or operate the trailer. No passengers or animals may ride in or on it. The trailer may not be used for racing, illegal activity, sub-rental, hire to others, off-road travel, overloaded hauling, or transport of explosives, hot ash, burning material, corrosives, regulated hazardous waste, or any material prohibited by law. Alcohol- or drug-impaired operation is forbidden.

Renter must secure and cover cargo as required by law, prevent leaks and debris loss, and use approved disposal locations. Before raising the bed, Renter must confirm firm level ground, adequate overhead clearance, an open and secured rear gate, and a clear exclusion zone. Do not drive with the bed raised, enter beneath a raised bed, or attempt to free a stuck load by unsafe movement.

From pickup until accepted return, Renter is responsible for theft, disappearance, vandalism, collision, misuse, tire and wheel damage, contamination, and damage to the trailer or third-party property, except to the extent caused solely by a pre-existing defect or Trailer for Rents LLC’s negligence. Renter must pay reasonable documented repair or replacement costs, towing and recovery, and loss of use where permitted by law. No repair may be made without written company approval except emergency action necessary to prevent immediate harm.

Stop safely, protect the scene, and contact emergency services when needed. Notify Trailer for Rents LLC promptly. Do not abandon the trailer or authorize towing or repair unless safety requires it. Renter must provide accurate accident details, photos, witness information, police report information, and insurance information. Mechanical failure does not authorize continued use.

Renter is responsible for confirming that the tow vehicle’s insurance covers towing, liability, physical damage, and the intended use. To the extent permitted by law, Renter assumes risks arising from possession and operation and agrees to defend and indemnify Trailer for Rents LLC against third-party claims caused by Renter’s breach, negligence, unlawful conduct, or unauthorized use. This clause does not waive liability that cannot lawfully be waived.

Return the trailer to the agreed location on time, empty, swept clean, securely closed, and in pickup condition, ordinary wear excepted. Renter remains responsible until Trailer for Rents LLC accepts return. The company may recover a trailer that is overdue, abandoned, unlawfully used, or at risk, to the extent permitted by law. The company is not responsible for personal property left in the trailer.

Renter must raise a billing concern promptly and identify the disputed item; undisputed amounts remain due. If a term is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. This agreement is governed by Washington law, and venue lies in the county where the rental originates, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Changes must be in writing and accepted by both parties.

Typing a legal name, signing in the box below, and emailing or downloading the completed agreement demonstrates intent to sign electronically. The electronic copy may be treated as an original. The rental is not final until Trailer for Rents LLC verifies identity and tow readiness and accepts the agreement.
